Christian Meditation: A Biblical "Must Do"

According to the Bible, Christian Meditation plays a leading role in living a healthy, productive life.   Without it, we are bound, held back and tied down, by our own thoughts like everyone else in the world.  Bound, held back and tied down is not where Christians are supposed to live.  Find a way to rise above your circumstances with Christian Meditation!

If you have spent any time here with us at all, you already know that we teach cleansing the mind, retraining the brain and feeding the baby.  (Feeding the Baby?)  That is because we have come to the realization that our thoughts can and will hold us captive IF we do not free ourselves.

We also know that our thoughts come from the world around us; parents, school teachers, spouses, CNN, books, radio, TV, internet.  Yikes!

We need to be free from those old, harmful thoughts that tie us down. Take the time out from the world around you to focus on God's thoughts; Christian meditation.

Read what the Bible Says about Christian Meditation!

At the Mercy of Your Thoughts?

You may be at the mercy of your own thoughts without even knowing it.  This is an over simplified way of THINKING about it:

  • I THINK of spiders as evil blood sucking vampires, THEREFORE I AM reduced to a sniveling idiot when one comes near my body.
  • My husband, Steve, THINKS of spiders as God given pesticides, THEREFORE, HE IS compelled to scoop them up on a paper towel and gently put them outside (much to my chagrin).

Same spider, two different reactions.  In other words, the situations we find ourselves in don't cause nearly as much trouble and/or pain as do our thoughts about the situations.

After we have changed our way of thinking, we can begin to change our situations and circumstances!
