Christian Theology
Christian Theology is defined as the study of or discourse about God,
from a Christian perspective. While theology itself is
interesting and educational, it cannot be the only basis for our faith.
The very first theological discussion recorded in Biblical history is found
in Genesis, chapter 3. The result of this discourse about God was the fall of mankind. It is imperative to you as a believer
to learn why you need more than theology.
Theology And The Fall
| Theology obviously drives a wedge between believers, separating the Body
of Christ into segments. Even more devastating than that, it drives a
wedge between believers and God. It is one of the major road blocks that
prevents us from receiving
our most precious
gift; God's rest. God's Rest. It has a beautiful ring to it
doesn't it? I am convinced that we are not only allowed, but called to
enter God's rest in this lifetime, rather than waiting until eternity.
(Hebrews 3 and 4)

- Heb 4:9-11There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For
he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own
works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that
rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
I am also convinced that the spiritual place called "God's Rest" is where
the miracles happen. It is where freedom lies. If you are not
so sure, get a copy of Rob Bell's video, "Today."
If you read Hebrews 3 and 4, you definitely want God's rest.
Why can't we seem to get there from here? The more I read and study
God's word, the more I understand that
Christian theology is a major
roadblock.
