Spiritual Health Source Offers Help for Depression, Anxiety and the Ordinary Blues

There are many sites out there offering help for depression and all the other mental disorders we suffer from these days.  Spiritual Health Source offers one cure for all of the above.  If you have browsed any of our pages, you know that our theme is always the same:  Change your focus and retrain your brain.

Why?  When someone feels down and out, they have a tendency to focus on being down and out!  If they are feeling anxious, they focus on feeling anxious.   The longer you stare at something, the more clearly you see it.  The longer you stare at your problems, the more clearly you see:  PROBLEMS.

Once again, our advice to you is to try something new for a change.  The best help for depression that we have to offer you is a new focal point!

Loving Someone Else is Help for Depression!

When I was at my lowest point, suicidal, I would hold on to a locket that has a picture of my daughter in it.  She is the love of my life, so I clung to that love desperately, until the feelings would pass.  The locket was my physical focal point.

I would also think about the pain that my death would cause my parents.  I could not intentionally do that to them.  My love for them was another focal point.

These two things - AND NOTHING ELSE IN THIS WORLD - got me through nights of misery and into the morning.  Love someone else more than you love yourself and cling to that love in your heart for dear life.  That will hold you over for a time!

So you say you have no one in your life?  (I find that hard to believe.  What about your elderly neighbor or even your pet?  More importantly, what about the kid next door who may learn from your example?)

If you insist that there is no one, skip this step and move straight to the next one as quickly as you can move!

Now that you have decided to live, you still need help for depression, right?

Now that you have decided that there are others in your life worth living for, take the next step.  Get a bigger, better focal point.  Remember the one who loved you so much that He left His throne and came down here to experience exactly what you are feeling right now.  Oh yeah, He felt it all and He felt it hard.  He was moved with compassion for us (deep in his heart)!  He got his help for depression from His Father God, and so will you!  (Was Jesus depressed?  Think about it.  He knew what he was about to face - separation from His Father God!  Separation from your Father God IS depression.  Separation is also your choice, not His.  Live forgiven and bridge the gap!)

If you must, get yourself a cross - that's your locket!  Hold on to it tightly and think about how much you are loved by Jesus.  Don't stop thinking about that until the darkness passes.  When the darkness comes again, look to the cross!  When it comes again, look to the cross!  Get it?  Good.  If you find that darkness coming on stronger than ever, quickly move on to Spiritual Warfare.  The battle for your mind gets serious sometimes.

Help for Depression for the Rest of Your Life!

Now that you are past that critical care stage, start looking in your Bible for help for depression.  It's all in there.  These Healing Scriptures are an excellent place to start or study about Christian Spiritual Healing.
