Mental Disorders Caused by Living in a Crazy World

If you have been diagnosed with mental disorders, and are looking for help, join the club.  Depression is one of the top causes for disability in the United States.  One out of 83  is diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder Syndrome.  You are not alone!  It may be difficult to avoid mental disorders in the crazy world we live in, but it is possible.  We believe there are many disorders diagnosed today and treated with medication that could actually be treated much more effectively by changing our lifestyles.    Is it a coincidence that many people diagnosed with bipolar disorder and/or depression are victims of abuse in one way or another?  Is it not strange that many children diagnosed with mental problems are living in dysfunctional homes, yet being treated with pills?  Maybe it is time to make a change for the better!

Suffering from Depression, Anxiety or Bipolar Disorder Symptoms?

Do your own research.  Read about the signs of depression and take a simple depression test. Learn more about depression and anxiety and how they are very closely related.  Make a decision to start your journey toward healing anxiety.  More importantly, read about some Biblical heroes who suffered from symptoms of depression in the Bible and how they recovered.  If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, get help.  Don't be ashamed, even Jesus and depression came face to face.  Depression is a real problem and there is real depression healing in the Bible!  I am living proof.   It takes effort and faith, but healing depression can come from within you.

Those who have been abused and those who live in dysfunctional, even volatile circumstances seem to suffer from drastic mood swings, and bipolar disorder symptoms even after the turmoil is gone.  Many are diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder Syndrome.  Carefully consider, and discuss with a Christian Psychologist,  the fact that your bipolar symptoms could be caused by poor spiritual health and emotional wounds.  Pain and anger, when left unattended can certainly cause mental illness so seek spiritual healing along with your medical care.

There are some who truly need medication to stay afloat and there is no shame in that.  It may, however, interest you to know that the effectiveness of certain medications for mental disorders is constantly under medical scrutiny; with some research disproving its effectiveness to a considerable degree.  Consult your physician if you have questions about the effectiveness of your medication, and maintain hope.  There is a better way.
