Positive Self Talk Fails
I attempted positive self talk, but my old self said no! Of course it did. It was still your
self talk. The book of Ephesians is an excellent guide
to help you understand who you are IN Christ. You were
included IN Christ when He died on the cross. Your only
role is to believe; consider yourself to be IN Christ. IN
Christ you can do all things. Once you've accepted this in
your heart, His positive words will begin to replace your self talk.
What are some of the things God has to say about it?
- When you say "I can't," He says, "Don't worry, I can."
- When you say "I'm afraid," He says, "No weapons formed
against you shall prosper."
- When you say "I'm not good enough," He says, "I made you
good enough."
Read the following scriptures closely. Meditate on the
exact position held by Christ. Then, meditate on your
position. Believing this concept will give you some real
positive self talk.
Where is Christ? Eph 1:20-23 ...which He brought about
in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at
His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and
authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named,
not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all
things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over
all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him
who fills all in all.
Where am I? Eph 2:5-6 ...even when we were dead in
our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace
you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us
with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
