Spiritual Warfare: The Battle of Good vs. Evil

Spiritual Warfare is the struggle that Christians face on a daily basis to live for Christ rather than for their own personal pleasure.  It seems to plague those who have stepped away from Christ and are attempting to return more so than others.

It can cause new Christians to cling tightly to old habits and addictions, making it seem impossible to step forward in their walk with God.

Again, it is not hokey pokey voodoo or something you would see on the Sci Fi channel, it is a real battle that many of us face.  It is simply the battle of good versus evil occurring within your body, soul and spirit.

Since each individual is made up of body, soul and spirit, there are already three forces at work within the human mind.  When you add the Holy Spirit to the mix, you can have so many voices that you fear you are going insane.

There are other forces/voices as well; those of the enemy.  They will put their two cents in whenever they are allowed ever increasing the battle within each believer.

Simplifying Spiritual Warfare

Smoke..DON'T SMOKE

Drink...DON'T DRINK

BELIEVE...Don't believe

Pray...DON'T PRAY

Love...HATE

The arguments can go on and on if you let them.  If you experience these types of arguments from within, you should learn how to win the battle over spiritual warfare

Key:  You should not focus on the arguments and try to overcome them on your own.

  • Praise God for the power he has already given you to overcome.
  • Meditate on God's word until it replaces the arguments.
  • Read or quote scriptures out loud to silence the arguments that you hear.
