The Christmas Story: Behind the Scenes
The Christmas Story is usually depicted by the beloved Nativity Scene.
The Baby Jesus is lying in his humble bed surrounded by loving parents,
shepherds and Wise Men. Angels are singing and animals bow down. The
scene reminds us of new beginnings; the spiritual rebirth of all who choose
Him.
Seekers of this spiritual rebirth know that it means healing, happiness
and joy; no matter how humble the circumstances. We seek the babe in
the manager and carry him in our hearts.
We are pregnant virgins, so to speak, awaiting the day of the Nativity
Scene in our lives, so do we not need to know how this happened?
Let us go behind the scenes in a study called "Seven Questions for a
Pregnant Virgin." Sounds strange, I know, but intriguing you must admit.
Obviously, the study is about Mary's role and how she delivered this
miraculous and wonderful rebirth to the entire world.
I can't think of a better way to understand how Mary arrived at the
nativity scene, than to ask her.
Seven Questions for a Pregnant Virgin
Since Mary's part of the Christmas story began with the Angel, Gabriel's
greeting, my questions to her are as follows.
You
will need to read Luke, chapter one in order to follow the Christmas Story
with us.
-
Why were you afraid of the angel’s greeting?
- How did you find favor with God?
One and
Two
-
How did you become pregnant?
- Were you afraid of obedience? (Of what was on the other side.)
- Why were you chosen? (What made you so special?)
- What was the journey like?
- Were you disappointed?
Follow this study closely throughout the year. See the changes in you
life. Merry Christmas!
